Here at Choo Choo's we aim for excellence all year round. To be able to maintain excellent care we believe that working in partnership with parents and carers is at the centre of ensuring the welfare of the children.
Blossom Educational was introduced to the setting in September 2021. Blossom is the platform we use for everything in the setting, from learning journals to invoicing. We use the app to log reports, track observations, communicating newsletters, issuing invoices and much more.
For us to be able to provide a high standard of care, we believe it is essential to obtain as much information about a child before the child starts. To ensure this we would ask you to fill in the 'settling in' section on the Blossom App prior to your child's start date. We then offer you 2-3 settling in sessions, which allows the child to gradually settle into the setting before starting their permanent hours.
Each child is given a personal key worker and an online learning journey. This allows the parent to discuss any issues or concerns with the key worker or the nursery manager effectively.
An Online Learning Journey forms a story of the development steps each individual child takes. The journey is accessible to parents/carers at all times through the Blossom app on your phone.
